You’ve probably heard their voices, but we decided it’s time to get to know them a little better. This month, we caught up with the newest member of the team, Jon Gilbert.
We chatted about what drew him to a career in customer success, the changing marketing landscape and being his customers’ trusted advisor on influencer marketing. Keep reading for more on Jon.


Jon-Gilbert-headshotTell us a little about your background, Jon.

While my career has passed through journalism and finance, among other things, I have always found a way to do what I enjoy most: helping people reach their goals and celebrate their accomplishments. Working with ReadyPulse gives me the opportunity to help marketers connect with their fans and customers in a new way. Influencer marketing is crucial for marketers to be able to reach their goals and build their brand story. ReadyPulse is helping marketers capitalize on a changing landscape. How could I not jump at the opportunity to be a part of it?

What does customer success mean to you? 

Customer success is about understanding my customer’s goals, then helping them achieve them. It’s as simple as that. We are committed as a Customer Success team to be champions of our brand partners. We focus on being trustworthy, knowledgeable and proactive. As long as we use those traits to solving our customer’s’ problems, we’ll help them find the solutions that will change their business.

Are you seeing any trends in influencer marketing with your customers you want to share?

I love to see my customers hand the reigns over to their influencers. These influencers have been selected because of their unique voice and ability to tell authentic, engaging stories to consumers, so why not give them the freedom to do that for your brand? Reducing the amount of fine print on campaigns and focusing on creative campaign concepts brings out the best in influencers. Influencers are stimulated by challenging and clear calls-to-action and generate amazing content that marketers sometimes would never imagine.

What are some of your favorite things about ReadyPulse customers?

We move very fast and tomorrow is rarely the same as today. That type of pace and flexibility is required to stay on top of an ever-changing landscape. Being on top of it allows us to help talented marketers crush their job and be all stars at their company.

And one for fun: What’s your favorite emoji?

I like using the money with wings spok emoji. While it probably means I just spent most of my bank account, it also usually means I bought a plane ticket to someplace fun or have some new gear headed my way!
