NatureBox Fans Deliver Results

Summary: NatureBox called on ReadyPulse to help them launch a social promotion to celebrate their Facebook Fans, increase brand loyalty and convert new customers. NatureBox enabled Facebook Fans to enter their contest and select a snack to try for free.

Social Activation
NatureBox teamed up with ReadyPulse to drive fan acquisition and increase social customer content by launching a social activation on their Facebook page. This was complimentary to their ‘Snacking Raves!’ Facebook tab. Their ‘Free Snack Giveaway’ was created to celebrate NatureBox reaching 400,000 fans on Facebook. Fans who entered could choose one of three featured products to be delivered to them at no cost. The 3 products featured were Mango Almond Bites, Salsa Spiced Nut Mix, and Cherry Ganache Granola. NatureBox also included a subscription discount coupon with the delivered snacks to convert their fans into customers. The campaign was scheduled to run June 25–28, 2013.

The Challenge
Promote NatureBox products, and see which type of product is more likely to be chosen

  • Increase number of fans and fan engagement
  • Test how NatureBox fans react to a social activation campaign
  • Measure how many fans that participated in the campaign convert to customers
  • Understand at what point during the campaign did the entrant convert into a customer; entry page, box delivery, coupon, or other interaction

NatureBox Delivered to DoorThe Solution
With the help of Pulse Marketing Suite, NatureBox deployed the Free Snack Giveaway campaign on their Facebook page. Facebook fans were activated to participate in the campaign by choosing their product of choice, and entering in their shipping information.

ReadyPulse collected the social data and Email addresses so that NatureBox could measure how many visitors, entries, and new fans resulted from the Free Snack Giveaway. In addition, NatureBox received insights on which snack was the most selected, fan engagement, and how many fans converted to customers from the campaign.

The Results
Free Snack Giveaway Campaign
The Free Snack Giveaway campaign was the most successful social activation for both NatureBox and ReadyPulse to date. NatureBox anticipated giving away about 5,000 free snacks over the 3 day period, but exceeded this goal within 30 minutes of the campaign launch ing. 6,000 entries were captured In the first 30 minutes of the campaign, but ReadyPulse recorded over 35,000 web hits, which caused the ReadyPulse web server to crash briefly due to the heavy demand. NatureBox was able to shift the campaign to an online form to offer a free 3-month free subscript ion to continue social engagement increase that was started by the original ReadyPulse campaign. With this Pulse Marketing Suite, NatureBox was able to better understand how their fans react to free snacks. In addition, NatureBox started seeing conversions immediately from their Free Snack Giveaway. Their social engagement greatly increased from the social activation.
